I would look forward to seeing George Robert Wendt Jr. weekly when I was watching Cheers (1982-1993) growing up, literally. The jokes were somewhat over my head at the start, and I was taking up a spot at the bar by the time it ended (with a fake ID, but still.) Not only his legendary role there, but George Wendt would also appear in movies and seemed to have a knack for stealing the show. His work in Fletch was quick and amusing, but my favorite role has to be in House (1985)
